story.

Following training and professional practice in commercial interior design in Boston, Debra Folz attended RISD for her masters in furniture design, thereafter establishing her furniture design studio, Debra Folz Design, in 2010. Ever-interested in a wide range of materials and processes, the studio never rested in one particular fabrication process but enjoyed learning news ones as they enabled Debra’s ideas for developing new and innovative objects. Over the past decade in design, she grew a reputation for high quality craftsmanship, innovative detailing and original conceptual inquiry. In 2014 the studio launched the Gem collection of occasional tables at the Architectural Digest Show to much acclaim. Over the following 7 years we would fine-tune and develop our capabilities with glass and expand the collection of tables to larger sizes and also to mirrors.

Debra began to explore these glass techniques beyond furniture, finding new inspiration & freedom in a format not exclusive to furniture pieces. What began as a couple of ideas has since flourished into a 10 collection standalone glass line for residential & commercial interiors. In addition to the self initiated visual concepts we will introduce over the course of this year, we invite the opportunity to collaborate with design firms on project specific pieces and installations.
